"Theory Notecards: N1 (Prequel)"
2006-2009
Blackboard paint, Conté pencil on birch
H4"xW6"

"Theory Notecards" are 66 "blocks" of text-bisected versions of notecards I use to lecture on contemporary art theory at Corcoran College of Art + Design. This series engages "owner-specific" participation: buyers are authorized to engage in actions upon blocks to "complete" my notations. My plan is for individual blocks to be reunited in subsequent exhibits to view individual contributions of the participant owners.
